| A great number of Nayakrishi farmers is women. They brought forward the movement all over the country and, among other things, are playing a key role in the preservation of traditional seeds. In their communities they are responsible for the collection, drying and storing of the seeds which are much needed in the following year for a successful cultivation. This important business helped raising the women’s significance and value in the male-dominated society notably. |
