| Noorjahun Begum, 40 years old, mother of two, is a so called Grami Karmi. The Grami Karmi are experienced organic farmers. They teach other members of their community in practicing methods for successful organic cultivation, such as the production of compost or mixed cropping which combines different plants in one field. This technique allows to harvest different varieties of vegetables and corn all along the year and protects the soil from being leached out. |
